Jordan is Happy to be Learning For Life!

Jordan joined L4L in September 2015. When he arrived he was coping with some major personal difficulties following the death of his Mum: grief, drug addiction, homelessness and difficult relationships with family members. Since joining L4L he moved to a stable foster placement where he has helped out with caring for a large number of animals and he is very proud to now have two dogs of his own: Summer and Pixie.

At times, Jordan has found even the informal learning environment at L4L challenging and he has worked hard to meet behaviour targets so that he could continue to work towards his qualifications and a placement. Jordan has shown great commitment and determination and has continued to be a punctual and regular attender even when he had periods of ill health. He achieved his E3 Comms qualification, numerous Agoreds and took part in activities such as the Road Safety course. Most recently, Jordan took part in an
interview with Michael Sheen and was really excited about his TV debut!

Jordan has always been very keen to work with dogs but an opportunity to do some voluntary work with a plumber sparked his interest.
Jordan was assessed as work ready and the contractor was so impressed with Jordan's hard work and enthusiasm he agreed to take him on straight away. Jordan reports that he feels happier, more confident and excited about the future; starting placement has been a major boost to his self-esteem!
